About Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of Dubai's most popular marine attractions, located inside Dubai Mall in Downtown Dubai. The attraction combines a large aquarium, an underwater tunnel and a multi-zone Underwater Zoo, giving visitors a chance to see marine and freshwater animals in different environments.
The main aquarium tank holds 10 million litres of water and is home to more than 140 species, including more than 300 sharks and rays. Visitors can walk through the 48-metre Aquarium Tunnel, which passes through the tank and gives close views of marine life swimming around and above them.
The Underwater Zoo is divided into three main ecological zones: Rainforest, Rocky Shore and Living Ocean. Visitors can see animals such as otters, piranhas, giant catfish, penguins and other marine and freshwater species across its displays.
The experience can be expanded with additional activities and animal encounters. Current options include glass-bottom boat rides, fish-feeding experiences, penguin encounters, otter encounters, crocodile encounters, diving and cage snorkelling. These experiences may require separate tickets or a higher ticket package.
